Diane's Story
From Detroit my parents moved my brother Tommy and I to Warren Michigan in 1962, where I attended Hartsig Junior High. Then Warren Mott for 10th grade and Cousino High in Warren Michigan from 1967 then graduated in 1969. Community College afterwards.
Had a son in 1973 from first marriage, remarried a couple times after that.
Not a good average! My choices in men got better as I matured thank goodness.
Currently I live in the pacific northwest with my husband Tom of 19 years. He also has a son whom I've known since he was 5 yrs of age. Since he had lived with us for many years, as far as I'm concerned, he's mine as well.
We are grandparents of three, 2 girls and a boy from my son Bruce and his wife Tina. Our youngest son is not ready as he is taking his time which makes sense to us.
Part time I work as a caregiver, in addition to that, I run a Bed & Breakfast from our home...Expand for more
called Peaceful Pines. Choosing the dates to accommodate guests works well as we do not want a revolving door policy.
We get people from all over the world like Argentina, Norway, Australia, Japan, Sweden, as well as from the states. Everyone has been wonderful, and we feel we have been blessed in meeting such interesting people.
To date, we have had only 1 guest from hell. Not a bad average!
I never hung around with many kids from Van Zile elementary school as I was an over weight youngster, thus more of a loner. The skinny girls on my block delighted in making me the brunt of their jokes.
Lost most of that weight as an adult, but it's easy to come back as we get older I believe.
Now that we are more mature, I would not mind connecting to some people I went to school with, Yes, even the meanies who by now I am sure, have mellowed out and matured over the years. LOL!
